Health Evangelism Training School

 A United Front

It is the Beehive’s honor and privilege to participate in this great effort of outreach training. This effort is a revival in and of itself; for through this effort we are in essence reviving a missing component in God’s three agencies for outreach: Bible Work, Literature Evangelism and Medical Missionary Work. As it is stated in the book Evangelism, page 547, “The gospel ministry, medical missionary work, and our publications are God’s agencies. One is not to supersede the other.”

The Beehive is looking to strategically motivate members of the Adventist church around the world and its churches to become trained in the methods of Christ, who was our great Medical Missionary. While we do not train people to cure disease and sickness, we do train individuals how to educate the sick regarding simple lifestyle changes that restore, not only physical health, but spiritual health as well. But before instructing students in how to educate, we share lifestyle principles from the Bible that help us live the changes we promote.

 Who is The Beehive?

The Beehive is a non-profit, 501(c)3, ASI-member ministry committed to integrated evangelism and the final character work of restoring the image of God in man. Our mission is to ENGAGE, EQUIP AND EMPOWER God’s people to help in finishing His work on the earth. It is to this end that we are working with the Arizona Conference of SDAs and other ministries and churches to offer this training. While we are engaging and connecting people in many places and in many ways, our emphasis is on utilizing the Right Arm of the Gospel, the health message. You may visit us at our site for a more in depth understanding of the Beehive Ministry, beehivevision.org.

Who Should Take The Training Course?

This training class is for everyone seeking to fulfill the commission given by Christ. Those who want to present a full gospel picture by acquiring knowledge and skills that will open doors and spark conversations with neighbors, colleagues and even family members, would do well to take this course. Students learn that the Bible is the greatest medical book and the spiritual principles found therein offer eternal truths for health and healing. Therefore, the work of health reform is not for the doctor alone, but for the Church Pastor, the Bible Worker, the Canvasser, students and everyone in between. The class is for everyone.

 Who Are The Instructors?

Trained Medical Missionary Gospel Workers, either locally, and others who are brought in from Lifestyle Centers and other ministries from around the country facilitate the class. Through these partnerships, we have access to specialists who share timely, spirit-filled information in the areas of Anatomy and Physiology, Nutrition, and Bible hygiene. A diversity of professional medical doctors, who believe in lifestyle education and health reform, are also brought in during our “Is there a Doctor in the House” segments.

When and How is it Scheduled?

There are currently two options offered for training course: There is a 10-day Intensive program that compresses one-month into 76 hours, spread out over 10 days.  Then there is the 7-week program, which is tailored especially for those who work or have busy schedules and can only train over the weekend.

 Is there a cost?

10-day: The cost for the 10-day Intensive Medical Missionary training course is $1200 per person.  This will cover room, board and health manual.

7-week: The cost for the 7 Week Training class is $460 per student.

Where does the Training take place?

Typically, the Daniel Challenge Health Evangelism Training takes place in Scottsdale, Arizona on the campus of Thunderbird Academy.

However, the training classes are uniquely designed to go on the road: At you school, your church, community center, even in your home, providing it is large enough to accommodate a small group of at least 20 students (minimum) who will take the class.

Can I bring the training to where I am?

The Daniel Challenge training can absolutely come to your church or organization and offer a weekend seminar, a 10-day challenge or a four-week school over four weekends.

Is there a maximum number of students?

Yes. The maximum number of students that we will allow is 40.

 Is there a minimum?

Yes.  In order for the training to be financially feasible, we need to have at least 20 students.

What happens when the training ends?

After taking the 10-day Intensive or 7-week course, and after completing a final exam along with a final group project, you will be a trained and certified Medical Missionary or Gospel Health Evangelist. Upon completion, you will receive a One Month Field Training Certificate.

When does the next training begin?

 Course Purpose and Objective:

    1. Purpose of Course – The purpose of this training course is to assist each participant in establishing a correct understanding of the principles and methods of true Health Evangelism, and its role in helping to prepare the final generation for the second coming of Jesus Christ. Christ stands before us the Pattern Man, the great Medical Missionary, an example for all whom should come after. His love, pure and holy, blessed all that came within the sphere of its influence. His character was absolutely perfect, free from the slightest stain of sin. He came as an expression of the perfect love of God not to crush, not to judge and condemn, but to heal every weak, defective character, to save men and women from Satan’s power. We are to do the same work that the great Medical Missionary undertook in our behalf. We are to follow the path of self-sacrifice trodden

by Christ. This course is designed to help each person to implement Christ’s method of labor in ministering to the physical, mental and spiritual needs of people that their hearts might be opened to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
